I am having a cassoulet dinner party and would like to serve it with the best French bread available in LA. Any suggestions?

Many Thanks!

I'm always a sucker for the baguettes that come out of the banh mi shops...Lee's, Sandwich Express, etc. If you're looking for non baguette, La Brea fresh from the oven is always terrific.

If you live in the San Gabriel area or OC - the Vietnamese Bakeries offer very good quality french bread. Since Vietnam was heavily influenced by the French. In Rosemead, Mr Baguette received official approval letter from France on quality of bread (posted on their wall).

Eilat Bakery, on Burbank Blvd. and Whitsett Ave. in Valley Village (North Hollywood). Be aware that they close early on Fridays and they are closed all day Saturday.
