Hi, was hoping for some suggestions for a good restaurant in the Natick/Framingham area for tomorrow night. There are 4 girls out celebrating a birthday and would like something other than a chain restaurant.

You'll probably be better off asking this question on the Boston board. If you like sushi/Japanese, Oga's is an option (http://www.ogasnatick.com/). You will probably need a reservation.

You certainly can find your answers on this board, But since Valentine's day bookings tend to extend though the entire weekend you need to make reservations asap. All of these places are held in some esteem on this board although not in unanimity.

I couldn't link Sel De La Terre using the supplied one so here' a new link.

BTW, all of these links include their websites.

Thanks folks, I was actually leaning towards Tomasso, but might look into Alta Strada too. Oga's sounds good too, but not for this crowd. Has anyone been to Vela restaurant in Wellesley?

We eat at Vela once every month or two. There are detractors on Chowhound. WE have always had excellent food and excellent service there. Some complain about the atmosphere because it is in the basement. However, I like it fine. White table cloths, candles, nice and quiet and simple. The menu is quite different- the mushroom lasagna for an appetizer is excellent. I have enjoyed the homemade pasta, fish entrees, the pork, the steak and the duck (especially good).

Sichuan Gourmet II is also an option.
Run by the same family that runs the one in Billerica - awesome authentic sichuan cooking.

The Peking Pork and Dan Dan noodles are fantastic there.
