I love this spot.. the service is always good, the food always great.. I think they have more Thai, than chinese food. They have multiple locations but the one my boyfriend and i went to is on Scottsdale Rd and FLW. Afterwards we wanted desert so we headed over to Yogurtology off of FLW and Thompson Peak. we've never been there but i have to say i was very dissapointed the tart was okay but the strawberries were brownish and had a bitter taste, needless to say i did not finish my yogurt.

  1. I went to Flo's when we moved here last August. And I haven't been back. I am still trying to find really good Thai/Vietnamese in the N. Valley. I am accustomed to little 'mom & pop' style spots that offer authentic, flavorful and interesting options. I feel like Flo was very commerical and the food was tweaked to accomodate American palates.

What I wouldn't give for a pho that uses oxtail instead of chicken broth! Or a deep rich tangy panang curry....or a great spring roll

We have been going to Little Rangoon over off of Shea & Scottsdale. This place is GREAT! I have never had Burmese cuisine and it was delicious. I like to think of it as a great amalgamation of Indian and Thai......if you have the chance to check this place out, I highly recommend it!!! It's run by a great family! They put their heart and soul into this place....and the food. It shows.

Best Thai in the valley is Swaddee. Via linda and 90th. N. Valley Vietnamese leaves something to be desired. You may need to drive a little to the East Valley as Mesa and Chandler both have really great Vietnamese locations (different types: pho, sandwiches, sit down restaurant, etc.)

I'd agree that danieli has hit the nail on the head.

I would also recommend Krua Thai (not the first time I have mentioned them in my posts).

They are a true mom and pop, and the food is really great. Located at 16th St. and Bell Road. In particular, my wife loves their curries.

Haven't found great Vietnamese food here in the valley yet (and I have tried many different restaurants).

Hey there! The best Thai food in the valley is at Thai Lahna in Phoenix on Indian School and/around 38th street. I tried Thaifoon in scottsdale and was vey disappointed. I like Flos a lot for basic chinese food but Thai Lahna is authentic Thai food, and very good. You'll like it: 3738 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix, 85018.

        2. We love the food at Flo's location at FLW & Thompson Peak.

For yogurt, we go to Yogurt Builderz (misspelling intentional) on Scottsdale & Thunderbird.
