Between Northridge & Pasadena; dietary restrictions...

Carrie 218 Feb 11, 2009 11:19 AM

I have received the following request from a friend, but haven't lived in the area for over a decade.

"D is getting tired of dining alone and wanted to meet us somewhere between Pasadena and Northridge as we're coming back Friday night. The trouble is, we are totally unfamiliar with the area.

Do you know of any place down there that can entertain a couple of helpless pescatarians and a true veggie?"

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Great suggestion jkao1817. I second The Dining Room at The Langham Hotel in Pasadena.

That *does* look awfully good -- but awfully expensive ($45 entrees?) Anything in the more-affordable range?

I believe this is more a low-key dining experience. Sorry if I didn't specify...

How about Fatty's in Eagle Rock? Vegetarian and Vegan, but seems to please most meat eaters as well.

      Or Daisy Mint.
Or one of the Indian places.
      Or Tibet-Nepal House.

I love Bashan - Montrose/Glendale on Verdugo - near where the 210 and the 134 meet.
Great fish and also some vegetarian options.

Hugo's on Riverside near Coldwater has what you might be looking for. The have many vegetarian dishes as well as food for the carnivores.
