Java Connection - Whitehorse, YT

When I'm in Whitehorse, Java Conection is my favorite place to have a great cup of coffee in the morning and a small bite to start the day. It's just around the corner from the Westmark Hotel. They serve Bean North Coffee, roasted here in Whitehorse, which is especially good. Today I had an early lunch with a cup of Bean North French Roast and a Veggie Panini, consisting of tomato, swiss cheese, sprouts and mayo. It was plain but delicious. About as good as it gets. The service here is fantastic. The owners have somehow managed to keep their young staff for at least as many years as I have been coming here (over 3 years). Great, friendly service; excellent sandwiches and coffees; soups to die for; and always busy. Great atmosphere. When in Whitehorse, this is the place for breakfast or lunch.

  1. I have relatives (B and S -IL) that used to live in Whitehorse (they recently moved to Nanaimo). I visited them once when they lived in Faro - probably the most remote place I have ever been.

Anyway - I'm a big fan of Bean North Coffee. Very good roaster. Too bad I can't get it anymore.
