Agree with Leslie and Spa, good calls. Add The Village Tea Room to the breakfast mix. They do scratch waffles and spoonbread (a warm custardy cornbread) on the weekends, in addition to their dreamy muffins. Their cream puffs are the most heavenly thing I've ever eaten. Everything prepared with the finest ingredients: local organic produce, Ronnybrook dairy. The Tea Room is a relaxed alternative to the usually frenetic Main St Bistro on weekends. Very kid-friendly.

Several suggestions: The Red Rooster in Gardiner. I love the their rooster cakes- a creamy potato pancake. Also in Gardiner, Village Market and Bakery. Great baked goods. In New Paltz, we love the breakfast wraps and coffee at the Mud Puddle , in the Water Street Market. The Bistro, on Main street is good for basic breakfast and a variety of fritatas and omelets. Also, the Main Course o up on Main St. opens at 9:30 on Sundays with a nice brunch menu, including a lot of breakfasty items, suc h as bagels and lox, omelets, french toast, etc and a delicious selection of bread in the basket. MMMM- I think I might head on over this Sunday.
