Tokyo Sushi - Whitehorse, YT

Whitehorse (Yukon) is a very beautiful place, even in the winter. However, it isn't known for its restaurants. I have been here many times and one of the very best (as good as any in Calgary) is Tokyo Sushi. I love their teriyaki chicken; one of the best I've ever had. Could eat it every day. Comes with lots of veggies. My friends here tend to like their sushi and sashimi and other plates. The place is very busy for lunch every day. If you need to be in Whitehorse, or if you're already here, this is really one of the very best restos in town, with lots of choice.

This town (Whitehorse) should be a vacation destination for every Canadian, especially in summer. There are German tourists everywhere when the sun shines. Whitehorse is modern and up-to-date in all aspects, but the taste and feel of the Yukon during Gold Rush days still lingers. This very unique feeling is reflected in many of the local restaurants. The food of the Yukon. The feel, but not the reality, of the rough gold rush days. Restaurants like the High Country Inn and Klondike Rib and Salmon BBQ make you want to come back for more. And some restaurants, of course, just shouldn't be. But there's no shortage of good, tasty, filling meals. It ain't 5 star, but that wouldn't be the Yukon.
