Looking for the best pizza in East Brunswick [Moved from Tristate]

A friend and fellow pizza lover just moved to the area and wants to know where he should go for pizza. Suggestions about other good food would also be appreciated.

  1. First off...he won't find it in East Brunsiwck.

    Go to Aberdeen/Matawan

    Here is a website:

It's worth the drive, otherwise, crappy pizza with old sauce and nasty cheese.

      1. Best Pizza closest to EB is either in South River on Obert Street - Coffaros..which is awesome or New Brunswick (panicos)

Brothers by Burger King on 18 (by sunny palace towards old bridge) is not bad, Franks by Shoprite is horrible for pizza, don't ever, ever, ever, get a pie from there, but the rest of there food is really good.

        1. Close to the East Brunswick Old Bridge Border goto Krispy on 516. They have a great Grandma's Pie and great round fresh mozz., Solid regular and solid sicilian too. Originally from Brooklyn with a store still there

Was heading out to Rt. 18 and saw the Krispy Pizzeria and had to stop in. I grew up with Krispy in Brooklyn and this offshoot holds up well. I enjoyed the regular pizzeria slice the most. Crust was good, sauce was nice, but the cheese was the cheese I remember from pizzas of long ago. Nice flavor and not the extra light stuff that seems to permeate pizza these days. If you don't like "oily" pizza, this slice may not be for you. If you don't mind a little dripping off the slice, go for it. Our son had a white slice and a fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil slice. He proclaimed them to be "great". I also had a Grandma slice which was very good as well.

Tom, try Brother's on Rt18 at the plaza with the BurgerKing. Their grandma's pie is even better than Krispy - IMO.
