Best Hainan chicken rice (海南鸡饭) in OC?

Das Ubergeek Feb 10, 2009 10:36 AM

I know we just had a thread about it in LA and the SGV... but I'm craving it in OC.

Any suggestions?

    Hmm...so far, no bites.

That's too bad, I'd been waiting for someone to reply to your post DU. This is something I've been searching for myself all these years.

There's a Vietnamese place that specializes in Hainan Chicken in the 99 cent store plaza on Brookhurst and Westminster. I know very little about this dish(though I did have it once at Tian Tian in Singapore), so I can't really tell you how good it was. It wasn't bad, though.

        Hi huaqiao,

I've been there and thought it was average at best. The chicken was really tough and chewy, and tasted about 1-2 days old (i.e., sitting around), instead of something made that morning.

No luck. I would drive to rowland heights from Anaheim if im craving for it or any chinese dish.
