HELP - THE PALM COURT AT THE PLAZA IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED

During our visit to NYC in March my friend and I were planning on experiencing afternoon tea in The Palm Court at The Plaza. I just visited their web site to make a reservation and it says that The Palm Court is temporarily closed.

Where to now? The Carlyle, St. Regis or Four Seasons? Would appreciate your input.

Thanks.

I cannot speak from experience, but in searching for something else, entirely, this week, I happened to notice Afternoon Tea Service at few places:

Arabelle at Hotel Plaza Athenee and Astor Court at the St. Regis may be more along the lines of what you are looking for, in terms of setting, as compared to The Plaza. However, you may also want to look into The London Bar at The London NYC Hotel for a more contemporary, cosmopolitan environment and BG Restaurant at Bergdorf Goodman, because if you might like looking at luxurious clothes, shoes, handbags, jewelery, etc., before or after your tea, Bergdorf is the place to do it! Enjoy NYC!
