No. We have not. That site is my new favorite site. I love good food, but I also greasy, fried, bad-for-you food and this site is an altar to that. Some of them I have actually tried. A lot of the remind of things my roommates and I did in college. Some are clearly over the top just for the sake of it, but some actually sound tasty to me. Krispy Kreme burgers are surprisingly tasty, Lousiana gator dogs sound good, King Cakes are fabulous, Garbage plates can be good (the right combo is key), french fry encased hot dog! I love it and plan on trying a few out for myself. Though the site is a little deceiving as being fat is more about lifestyle than eating those things once in awhile. Now if those foods are your diet...oh boy.

Those foods aren't why people are fat. Not in and of themselves. It's because some dolt will seek out and try them all. They also won't bother to get any exercise. Really decadent, fatty, deliciously sinful foods don't make you fat. At least, not if you eat them in moderation. A poor diet and lack of exercise does.
And for the record, IMHO some of those things were made up just for that piece.

If you look at the link I posted at the top of this thread, it shows this monster burger and fries. You have to eat the entire burger and all the fries and then you get on the Burger Wall of fame, and get to keep the plate - whoopee. Well, if you look through the many, many pages of the people that have met the challenge you will see that the majority of them are pretty darn big to begin with. Also look around at the AYCE places. Lots of large folks there, too. Not saying everyone is, but just supporting DT's point.

Wow. Not sure if it's a joke or not, but I think someone's just trying to be "cute" or do a one up on something.
As a sidenote, I caught an episode of Diners Drive-Ins and Dives the other day, and Guy the host was, I think, at Gizzard City?? not sure if I have that right...but anyway, he DEEP-FRIED A BURGER....as in put in an ENTIRE dressed burger, buns, pickles, et al and then battered and deep fried it. It was both the most disgusting and secretly delicious thing I've ever seen.
I would SO try that if I saw it on the menu somewhere...and if those who knew me heard me say that, they'd never believe it....

Funny I listed the same site yester day too under Gluttony or Chow. Let's read each others.
Great minds think alike,

Oh this is definitely about pure enjoyment. Good food? Maybe not. Pure enjoyment all the way though. I am a firm believer in bacon and deep frying anything. Eating as much of it as some of these dishes imply I do not find appetizing, but eating some of it not only sounds delicious, it is (I have eaten some of the things here as well as things that would qualify).

Wow! These are real dishes... It's obvious some of the photos are "one-offs" meaning a bunch of people just made something outrageous (like the 60 # rice crispy treat, the super-filled orea and the bacon turducken) or influenced by the low-carb dieters, but a lot of the stuff looks like fair food or actual restaurant food.
I hate to admit that at least 70% of that stuff I'd be willing to try. However, mixing sweets with savory just don't interest me... Donut burger... yuck!

Where's the double bacon cheeseburger using a Krispy Kreme glazed donut in place of a bun?

I don't think it's a joke at all. Here is a link to a place in my neighborhood and a burger they dare people to eat. Looks pretty tame compared to most on the site posted, though.

And don't forget The Big Texan Steak Ranch in Amarillo and their free 72 oz steak! It's a trip.

I've actually had the deep fried Mars bar---it's really decadent. I've also had deep fried Oreos and deep fried Twinkies. They're getting popular at street fairs in NYC. I try not to eat them more than once every other year and I usually share it with somebody.
As for a Krispy Creme burger, Paula Deen had made "The Lady's Breakfast Sandwich." It was sausage, ham, bacon, eggs, I think cheese on a glazed doughnut and then deep fried. My arteries were clogging just looking at it.

I've had a deep fried Mars bar and a deep fried Twinkie, both at the NC State Fair (different years though!). The Mars bar was pretty good, decadent as you said. I really didn't enjoy the Twinkie though, it lost its inherent Twinkie-ness, the creme melted into the cake and the cake was indistinguishable from the batter. This year I'm going for the fried Reese's cups.
Have you seen Paula Deen's Krispy Kreme bread pudding? As much as I love KK original glazed, a dozen tossed with condensed milk and fruit cocktail is just too much.
