I haven't seen a lot of posts on Cure Bar & Bistro (located in the Hyatt on H st.), so I decided to share our experience and give it some well-deserving love.
We were in the area yesterday and decided to stop by for a casual dinner. Everything we had was great. We ordered three different cheeses along with a flight of cabernets. All three cabs were delicious, particularly the Silver Palm. Pours were VERY generous for flights (an added bonus, of course!).
My husband ordered the flat iron steak, which was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious.
I ordered the blue crab pie, which was also very good. Basically, the seafood is combined with corn, cream, potatoes and celery, then topped with crushed crackers, and then baked in a cast-iron skillet. We also ordered a side of roasted potato wedges cooked in duck fat and topped with sea salt...delicious once again.
Our server was attentive and knowledgeable.
One thing that we found to be unfortuante was that it was a Saturday night and it was pretty dead. I'm not sure if they are advertising properly...
If you're in the area, want a good, casual dinner, and want to try a new place, I would definitely try Cure.

Our wine flight was about $15 or so, and again, the largest pours I've ever had for wine flights...
Both the flat iron steak and the blue crab pie were somewhere between $20-25.
Can't remember the price of the cheeses but it was definitely comparable to places like Vinoteca, Enology, and other wine bars.
