What kinds of truffles does the mushroom guy sell?

It's seasonal if you are talking fresh, wild mushrooms. Morels in the spring. But he has a great selection usually. His name is David and he has been talked about on this board more than a few times.

as for truffles, with david the mushroom guy, i think he only carries oregon white truffles.

no black truffles from perigord or the highly prized truffles from alba.

you can get them from urbani (???) i think.

    2. The best place to get truffles are from the BH Cheese Store or even Monsieur Marcel...

The ones the mushroom guy has tend to be from Oregon and they are really a different species.....
Btw... Truffles are a Tuber not a fungus

        NOTE -to Moderators?- :
For some reason that has to do with the software used by CH the link above, as well as many other links I posted in the past, doesn't work. Go figure! Oh well, just google the words "wikipedia truffle (fungi)" , you'll surely get the correct wikipedia link right on top.
