Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in DC/Baltimore and Suburban Virginia

New York lounge/restaurant style in Old Town?

Help is desperately needed! We are coming to Old Town Alexandria for a wedding. The night before is my husbands and friends birthday. I want to plan a fresh and fabulous dinner for approx 10 people. Would like a private table/room if at all possible. Most of us are from New York in our 30’s. Looking a casual chic atmosphere that is lively and suited for group dining. Definitely does not need to be a super-foody meal nor too stuffy. Loungy, good drinks, and easy delicious food to start off an evening.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

          I think the Overwood Grill fits this request well. (Haven't been to Vermillion, though it gets great reviews.) Overwood's web site is the overwood.com
