Yuzu Fruit: Where to buy in SF?
I believe fresh yuzu is in season now, and I'd like to find some to experiment with. Has anyone seen yuzu in any markets in the SF Bay Area lately? (the closer to SF the better) I have heard it's hard to find.
Tips on where to buy bottled yuzu juice would be appreciated as well.
Thanks!

I've seen them at the Ferry Plaza and SF Civic Center farmers markets, Berkeley Bowl, and Monterey Market. I think the season is roughly September through January.

You can almost always find small sized bottles of yuzu juice at any Nijiya supermarket (one in SF Japan town) and you may find it at nearby Uoki or Super Mira as well. The kind I got is made in Kochi prefecture (where they are grown), and the bottle tip design is like Tobasco, designed to give you drops when you pour (so you don't use it up so quickly).
Last time I saw small green yuzu at Nijiya San Mateo and Mountain View (packaged up in the refrigerated veggies section) was 2 months ago, then they never offered it again.
Out of your geographic range, but the only farm that I know of in California that grows green yuzu is
Nagatoshi Organic Farms
305 Howell Rd
Oxnard, CA 93033
(805) 488-7716I think it's a lot easier to find good quality meyer lemons in Northern California than yuzu.
