Birthday Idea - Fuze Cooking Classes, Banff. Any reviews?
Hi,
I'm planning my 30th birthday bash for myself and a few of my good friends and I came across Fuze's cooking classes. Has anyone tried them? Can you please let me know about the quality of instruction/food?
I would love to organize something like this, but I wanted it to be in Banff or Canmore in order to pair it with a weekend getaway in March.
If you have any other suggestions for restaurants/resorts that may be into this idea, please let me know. Thanks in advance for your help!
Cheers!

I have done the hands on cooking class and it was a complete blast. Very well done. We had 16 people and Chef Gary and staff put a wonderful event. I highly recommend. I have also participated in a couple of cooking demos that were equally fun and engaging. Most importantly the food was amazing. Have Fun.

I haven't been to the cooking classes myself, but I have eaten at Fuze and talked to some of the employees about the classes and it really sounds like fun. It's a beautiful restaurant, and the space where the class is held is gorgeous too.
If I were you, I would give it a shot, and then report back :)

re: wonderflosity
Hi foodlove, I was lucky to have been invited to a birthday party cooking class at Fuze about 6 months ago. It was a blast. We did an hands-on class. We broke out into 3 groups, donned aprons and followed chef Gary's lead. It was amazing how the same dish tasted differently from each group. By the end of the evening we actually cooked and ate a 5 course dinner. One of the "funnest" times I ever had. Would recommend it. Chef Gary is an excellent host.
