[London] Lamb Sandwich

Browners Feb 6, 2009 04:27 AM

February is a short little month so I'm planning my sandwich article for March. So far the theme is based on St David's day being the 1st March.

So I am looking for London's best lamb sandwich. So far I am finding it hard to look much further than the lamb kebabs on Edgeware Road... but I am hoping we can get past this mental sandwich block together.

So thinking caps on... where in London serves the best lamb sandwich?

I'm a fan of the lamb @ Burley's Salt Beef, in the City or @ Canary Wharf

(though the roast beef is even better!)

Good idea. Someone else mentioned Burley's recently too. Might well give them a go.

Don't know if one would regard this as a sandwich, but I kinda like the lamb burger at NorthField Farm's stall in the Borough Market, especially with the grilled onions and relish.

Certainly a contender. I'll add it to my must try list!

Oh dear...wish I could remember the name of the stand that shows up at the Acton Market from time to time...they do an amazing spit-roast meat sandwich and lamb shows up once in a while.

What an excellent idea. If the name comes to you let me know. It sounds ideal.

Good idea. But I've already featured Fuzzy's for their roast turkey festive sandwich which was a bit disappointing.
