Krewe du Vieux dinner suggestions?

I am familiar w/the parade route, but does anybody have any suggestions based on personal experience, a special menu or anything else?

We tried to get in Adolfo's but they are apparently booked up (who knew they even took reservations?). I'm thinking Maximo's or perhaps Feelings or Sukho Thai. We've done Marigny Brasserie in the past, which was lots of fun.

Feelings was a blast. May do it again next year. Very relaxed, casual atmosphere (as is to be expected for KDV), just down the street from the start and finish of the parade.

We got drinks, ordered and ate appetizers, and then got up and went down to the parade for a few floats. They delayed putting in the entree orders so they were ready shortly after we got back.

Good times. The oysters were fantastic, as was the peanut butter pie and the fun coffee.

We went to Feelings Cafe last year. Yummy, and it's right on the parade route, so we were able to go outside between appetizer and entree to watch.
