What to order at Nobu LA?

Wife's requested birthday dinner locale. I expect lots of recommendations to go elsewhere.....but lets just assume this is set in stone. :) Have not been to a Nobu before, sooooo if you had to go, what would you order?

It's called New Style Sashimi, and I believe it's halibut, not yellowtail, but I'm not sure.

For the price pretty unremarkable but if you do go make sure to order the specialties not the regular sushi.

i did just that many years ago, and thought the food was awful as well as costly.

Nobu LA? Order a drink. Watch the Hollywood scene unravel before your eye, and that's about it.

Then, head down the street (don't drive while drunk!) to Matsuhisa (the original), and enjoy better food there. I suggest seats in the private room (reserve ahead). Order the high end omakase (about $135pp before tip & drinks )and have a wonderful meal!

Nobu's original place is still his flagship, and this is still the best place to enjoy his showcase Japanese-Peruvian fusion style.

Definitely get the black cod with miso, and the yellow tail with jalapeno. The bento box dessert was just ok; you might want to try something else for dessert.
