Any place like DiBruno or Chestnut Hill Cheese out in Montgomery county?

bella1006 Feb 5, 2009 09:31 AM

Looking for a store that primarily sells cheeses and cured meats-and olives?? out in Souderton/Harleysville area. Have exhausted the cheese selection at Hennings. I know Chestnut Hill isn't that far away but I hate looking for a place to park.

Keep an eye on Skippack. Something's in the works.

Unfortunately the cheese shop in Phoenixville closed. However, there is a Wegman's opening up in Oct 09 in Collegeville (hopefully).

Although not a cheese shop per se, Hendricks Dairy in Telford had all of its cheeses on sale yesterday for $12/lb, which is a pretty darn good price for excellent cheese.

Not Montgomery County but...Altomonte's Italian Market (there are 2: one in Warminster and one in Doylestown) has an excellent variety of cheeses, cured Italian meats, olives, and so on. Also wonderful bakery, deli, fresh meat, frozen prepared entrees (their own make). Right down County Line Road to York Road in Warminster. their web site is www.altomontes.com

There is Tallutos (Sp?) in West Norriton...just off Germantown Pike. Small store...but they have a decent selection of cheese.

A Touch of the Old Country in Ambler has a nice selection of cheese and other italian items. It is small, not as big selection as DiBruno Bros, but a nice selection for a local spot.

Not next door but closer than CH, have you tried Taste of Italy in Springhouse on Bethlehem Pike?
