Stash Café before Shirley Valentine play

My friend suggested that we eat at Stash Café before going to the Centaur.
Any recommendations? Thanks.

  1. Being polish, I think I can give an educated rec. I like Stash - much more than Cracovie and a whole heck of a lot more than Mazurka. If you want a little of everything, try the polish plate- but be warned - go hungry. I personally am a bigos girl. The meat croquettes are also very good. And, you gotta have a shot of vodka!

As maisonbistro points out its Polish (mmmm, bigos). Its also slightly upscale in its setting, a plus I would think, when heading to the theater.
The wife likes Stash over Mazurka, me the other way around, a big part cause I can't get pigs feet at Stash.
BTW, for what its worth (may make for a passing comment with your friend), Stash Cafe is Rachel Ray's favorite Montreal restaurant...

We thoroughly enjoyed the cabbage rolls and the apple square with a delicious sauce at Stash, and then the play, Shirley Valentine, was wonderful too. Thanks so much for the responses.
