I am looking for a nice restaurant to hold a bridal shower in a private room for about 50 women of all ages~ A nice luncheon is what we are looking for! Attendees are from both No Jersey and Philadelphia area so this seemed like a good compromise~ Collingsdale was recommended as having some nice new restaurnts! I would appreciate your help as I have no idea where to start! Thank you in advance!

One of our favorite restaurants in all of NJ is in Collingswood called Blackbird Dining Establishment (we're going on Saturday).
Food is delicious, they do lunch but probably can't accomodate 50 people.

THanks Tom!!!!!!!!!!! Need a private room anyway but might consider it for another time! Am finding less help on here then when I needed a place In Central NJ for a 95th BD party~ Got many suggestions and it worked out great! Am afraid that the Mansion that was suggested will be too expensive(Have been there for a few weddings)

Do you know of anyplaces that might have aprivate room that is open on Sunday! Again Thank you ~

Here is a place that is open on Sundays and can accomodate 50 people.

Plus here is the web site for SJ Hot Chefs which lists a lot of restaurants. They cover a wide range of cuisine and I'm sure a few will fit your criteria.
          Click on the restaurant tab.

My wife had her shower at Caffe Aldo Lamberti Cherry Hill on Route 70. They have a large room to the side of the restaurant with its own bar. She was very happy with it.

there are a lot of wineries in SJ that do private functions. you would have to provide your own food or have the event catered, but you can't beat the setting of a barrel room for ambiance. www.newjerseywines.com i had my bridal shower in north jersey at the now defunct unionville vinyards, and it was great. some sj wineries that come to mind for a function are Valenzano, Hopewell, and Amalthea. Valenzano, in particular, would be a good central location between SJ and Central Jersey.

The CH and surrounding area would be a good choice as it's very close to the city and offers quick access to the turnpike. I have no idea what your budget is, so that makes it difficult, but I'll throw out a few suggestions:
Cafe Aldo Lamberti on Rt 70 is a good suggestion as the OP said.
            Little Tuna in Haddonfield
            Melange Cafe in Haddonfield
Melange had a municipal parking lot behind the restaurant for parking, and there is street parking which will be difficult on a Saturday.

Sapori in Collingswood, very good Italian

            LoBianco in Collingswood

            Anthony's in Haddon Heights
            http://www.anthonyscuisine.com/
            Due Amici in Cinnamonson
I went to a shower at Due Amici and the food is pretty good. This would be a very reasonably priced option, but I know they do lots of showers. In fact, my sister used them once for catering a Christmas party and everyone enjoyed the food. It's a bit more basic of a menu, but in dealing with a wide range of ages, I almost think the basic Italian menu is better. and will appeal to everyone.

            Catelli in Voorhees

LaPosata in Cherry Hill (very good
            )http://www.laposataristorante.com/
As you can see, there are many Italian options, and many more than I've suggested.

THank you so veryyyy much~~~~~ I knew I could count on you ~ I should have said MODERATE but that varies doesn't it and I should have said OPEN On Sunday but I have many choices to look into now! Spoke to La Bianco previously and felt they were too pricey for what they were offereing! I thought I could get more "bang for the buck" elsewhere!

Again Thank you and I should be able to have several options from these lists and then will pass info to the others who are paricipating so we can choose~ I am one of the PA people and know very little about the restaurnts in NJ~

Cafe Aldo on Rt 70 in Cherry Hill is a good choice. Its newly rennovated too so it provides a great atmosphere and the room will definately hold 50 people
