Is the Bedford Street location open yet? What do people recommend ordering?

Speaking strictly of the NE location... Their rendition of a cheese steak ("The Big Cheese") is the best version I have found in Boston. It's flat out delicious: the meat is flavorful and the caramelized onions laced throughout give it nice depth. And, very importantly, they use good bread.

The Lucky 33 is also quite good (rare roast beef, quality fontina, caramelized onions, arugula). And I would have to 2nd the Northender. Additionally the calzone I had once was very good - and huge. I've heard the pizza is good too but can never say no to the sandwiches to order one.

The meatballs and Bolognese are great.

Love the North End location - if this is the same place - I like the North Ender - chicken cutlet with provolone, arugula and vinegarette.

Yes, it's been open for a few weeks now. Just make sure you block off half an hour to order and receive your food and you'll be fine.
