I had a restaurant week dinner there last week that was good but not great. I thought the dishes were a little heavy. I've had many good meals there over the past few years and they've been very good overall.

I did the tasting menu last week and the portions were fairly big - I thought it was a great value. The service was a little off but I'd probably go again to try other items.

If you have been to Perry St. before, it's just same old same old. Food is similar to what you get at Nougatine - good when it is good, but the kitchen is quite inconsistent. Service is ok, not the best yet not obnoxious. The price is definitely reasonable.

Good not great, kitchen and staff are at the very least competent, modern ,clean lines and quite atmosphere. I get the feeling that JG uses this location to grow and train staff for his growing empire. He lives in the building so it allows him to keep an eye on new talent and in turn mentor them if time allows.
