Has anyone been or heard anything about this place? It is in the Hyatt in the Olive 8 building. There was an add in our theater program this weekend advertising organic, sustainable, local, etc. This is all I could find in terms of a review.
Haven't been or heard because it's not quite open yet. I did get this little nugget from daily candy's weekend guide this morning:
Urbane Restaurant Opens
What: Hyatt at Olive 8’s swanky oasis opens its doors with tasty Northwest offerings and a sleek city aesthetic.
Why: Lamb osso bucco, Alaskan black cod hot pot, and steelhead with butternut squash.
When: Opens Sun. Daily, 6:30 a.m.-10 p.m.; bar, 10 a.m.-close.
Where: 1635 Eighth Ave. (206-676-4600).
Thanks for the udpate! I had read a pre-openiong review (in Sept), as well as an adverstisement in the 5th Ave playbill (which did NOT say "coming soon"). The Hyatt web site says it is considered "one of seattle's best". Hard to do w/ out even opening!
Will be interesting to see if it is any good, since it is a hotel restaurant.
You're welcome! I think they're running behind schedule for opening (what's new?). I met with the chef and sous chef sometime in September (I work for a local wholesale vendor) and it sounded like they had some interesting ideas. Of course, like everyone these days, they were trying to source everything locally and highlight that on their menu. I totally support the concept, but you really have to be doing something innovative to for anyone to think that's special these days (which says a lot about how far we've come on that issue).
