Looking for restaurant for my daughter's first birthday

  • 6

I am looking for a restaurant that has a private room for my daughter's first birthday. The restaurant should have a private room that can accomondate about 20 people, mostly adults. A restaurant with a kid friendly theme is preferred.

I have tried McDonald and Chuckie Cheese. i think they are not for toddler of such a young age. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Thank You.

  1. I would throw the party at home -- restaurants are not favored by most one-year-olds!

I know, but my place is kind of small, and is not suitable for a birthday party

    2. What is your daughter's favorite cuisine?

She didn't eat adult food yet.

I think a restaurant that has a private room will be nice, but I am looking for suggestion. Thanks!

      2. We did our daughter's first birthday at a local brunch place, The Spot Cafe. We often go there for brunch and know the owners well, so they planned the whole luncheon for us. Adult food for the adults, and waffles, pancakes, fruit and other yummy items for the kids. Though we didn't have the whole place to ourselves, we decided to have lunch at 1:30pm, when the brunch/lunch rush was almost over. It's not a big place, and we took up 80% of the place. The owners were extremely accommodating and the price was extremely reasonable.

Perhaps you should look at a place like The Spot Cafe, that serves brunch and see if they'll do the same thing 'Spot' did for us. Everyone we invited had a great time and loved the food. Especially the kids who all got waffles or pancakes with bunny faces made of whipped cream and had chocolate eyes.

        Good luck!

        1. Another thought would be to talk to a Korean restaurant. In their culture, 1st birthdays are a huge deal, and they might be able to provide food within your comfort level. This could be lots of fun if they would provide someone to explain their first birthday traditions.
