Vegas sausages?

I'm looking for suggestions on where to buy good dry/hard sausages in Las Vegas. You know the kind you slice and put on crackers along with perhaps some cheese. I've been using Hillshire Farms summer sausage which is passable, but I'm getting a little tired of it and I'm sure there's a lot better sausages out there. Thank you for any suggestions you may have.

  1. Whole Foods, Trader Joes and/or Fresh & Easy.
I assume some kind of Italian type would do?

    1. In addition to the markets mentioned above, if you are in the Southeast, Valley Wine and Cheese on West Horizon Ridge Parkway has some high-end offerings, albeit pricy (there is a duck sausage that I have paired well with wine). And the deli at Cafe Heidelberg on East Sahara, and Roma Deli on Spring Mountain, are also worth a look.

Thanks for your replies. I did check at two different Whole Foods and a Trader Joe's and was surprised that they didn't really have anything like what I was looking for. I'll try Fresh and Easy and the delis you mentioned. I appreciate your help.

Just came back from Valley Cheese and Wine and it was exactly what I was looking for, thanks so much for the tip. Great selection of top quality meats and cheeses. I picked up some of both. Also the gentleman working there was very helpful and friendly. Thanks again for the tip, I'll certainly be going there again.
