Luger's - Great Neck v. Brooklyn
I live blocks away from the Luger's in GN. I've eaten there many times in the last 23 yrs of living here. I love their steak.
I have never eaten at the Brooklyn location - never saw any reason to go there.
Am I missing out on anything the Great Neck location does not have?
Is there a difference in the meat?
Is it worth the trip (schlep) to Brooklyn or is it just redundant?

Brooklyn. For this one simple reason: if you don't go there, you'll always be wondering.

At the risk of making it harder to get in the Great Neck, I'll say it. I prefer Great Neck! (covers head to prevent injury from flying bricks and stones). I think the Brooklyn vibe isn't about the food but about nostalgia for the people who associate it with growing up and going with their parents, or by virtue of the fact that on every other Saturday night you actually get to see a real celebrity there (and I have, more than once). But I prefer the ambiance in Great Neck, and find the food to be almost identical.
