I'll start by saying the meat grinder I now have, is an attachment for the 5 qrt. KA mixer. When grinding meat for burgers or meat loaf it does just fine, when making sausage (usually make 5 -15 lbs), it's insufficient.

What I'm looking at is a #10 stainless steel grinder from LEM Products.

This is the grinder... http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showpage?saleitemid=196130&utm_source=froogle&utm_medium=free&utm_campaign=18708

This is the company...

Has anyone heard of them or know anything about them?

Thanks.

hmmm cast iron vs stainless steel... too many choices in grinders.
good luck!

The LEM grinder arrived yesterday, very solid (weighs 10 lbs), fit and finish are great. Breakdown, cleaning and assembly are a breeze.

Ground a 3 lbs of fresh lamb in under 2 minutes at a leisurely pace.

Making 10 lbs of Italian sausage next week, hopefully it will stuff as fast as it grinds.
