Fellow chowhounders of Toronto,

Is there a butcher in town that sells rabbit?

I've seen rabbit in the No Frills on Landsdowne as well.

    2. It's available at St. Lawrence.

Also, T&T carries them - and I was surprised to see that the one I purchased there was tagged as from a great producer, Abate (http://www.abatepackers.com/).

        T&T is funny that way
i saw them mixing a box of organic ontario oranges once with regular Florida oranges and selling them for the same price and not marked as organic. Dunno if that was a one time deal or not but they do seem to get good produce/meat in at least occasionally if not regularly (Cherry street location for me)

My poitn being they dont' really advertise their sources if it's a good one unlike say whole foods or a local shop like cumbrae's or healthy butcher

I'd like to check them out at St. Lawrence, can you remember if you saw them in the north or the south market?

        2. It sounds like it will be a lot easier than I thought. Tahnks for the info.

          1. White Brothers at the St. Lawrence market sells rabbit all of the time, but be prepared - it comes with th head attached.

            1. They had it at the Avenue and Eglinton Healthy Butcher recently.

              1. Try any of the Greek butchers on the Danforth. Mr. Greek, Louis, etc.

                1. I see it regularly in the Food Basics in Ajax... So if they have Rabit, it has to be just about everywhere.

Really!!? Then I'm going to go get some.

                  2. Lady York and Fiesta Farms both sell whole rabbit.
