    Rangoli may have been the very first restaurant I ever ate at in Boston, way back when Allstonian and I were first dating, but I'm afraid I have noticed an increasingly sharp decline there more recently, and as more and more new -- and better -- restaurants open along Brighton Ave, it's just gone further and further down the list.

        Dang, I really liked Rangoli but didn't eat there very often. This sort of thing always makes me feel a bit guilty.

          Tanjore - the other restaurant they own/operate will remain open, per the website.

            Wasn't a bad place IMO, though not my favorite for Indian food. Still, it's sad to see yet another restaurant disappear from the Boston scene.

              Wow: first place in Boston that served Southern Indian to my knowledge. Fine dosas. Sad.
