Soup Stands

Where does one go in Toronto to get soup? Do we have soup stands and I'm just oblivious? When someone gets sick and I want to bring them soup I haven't the faintest idea of where to go.

I have not been in about a year, but Ravi Soups was quite good the last time I went.

Cheers and hope your friend gets well soon.

ravi's soup has a special on Fri from 5-6pm. All soups are 50% off, great deal.

Thanks for the reminder on that one. Smaller selection, but I was able to get a fantastic crab soup my last time out there. Very sweet seafood. And it was not dried out and over-reduced like the terrible soup nutsy one I had one time that was also being sold at a discount.

This place seems worth a try, thanks for the recommendation!

I know its ghetto but I like Swiss Chalet Chicken soup I find they tend to put a lot of chicken in it to use up the day old birds.. and it is pulled chicken not chopped...

There is also a soup place on Yonge just south of Bloor on the west side...

The one on Yonge you are talking about...is it Simply Zoup? That place is very popular with people at my work, and it's always very busy whenever we go there. They make all their soup fresh daily...but in my opinion, it does seem a bit pricey for soup.

I like Soup Nutsy. It's in one of the office towers in the financial district, but they have a pretty good selection. TD Centre I think.

Pasta Pantry at Yonge and Davisville has a whole fridge full of their house-made soups - almost everything you could imagine and really fresh and yummy.

Pumpernickel's Deli does really good soups and you can ask them for a little sample to try and decide if you like it or not. Not sure about every location but the one in Royal Trust Tower/Canadian Pacific Tower is the one I usually go to. And the prices are really good as well.

Mocha Mocha on The Danforth make yummy homemade soups. They make both vegetarion and meat based soups daily.

I know people are going to look at me funny, but the soup stand in the lobby of east General Hospital has good hearty soups, we would grab them togo when we were visiting my grandmother at Riverdale/Bridgepoint around lunchtime.
