Clarkston Cafe - Clarkson MI - CLOSED

One of the few (maybe the only) decent places to eat in Clarkston closed a coupel weeks ago. It is no surprise, as a few months ago they went from dinner every night to only serving dinner Thur-Sun (with the Pizza Coco open every night), and then in late November the extensive wine list was pared down to a short list.
I really think the reataurant was trying to serve great food (which they did), but at an economical price (which they also did) - but the combination did not generate enough revenue.
If they are lucky enough to re-open with the same chef in the future, I hope they keep the ambitious goal of serving the finest, freshest (local if possible) ingredients - they just need to charge more for the dishes (IMO).
This place had a lot of service issues, but the food was always exceptional.
If anyone has the inside scoop on what is planned for the space, I would love to know.

    Firendly Update:
The space formerly occupied by Clarkston Cafe has re-opened as the Woodshop (same owners).
The pizzas are still there, and the menu has changed to BBQ.
I have not been yet, but friends have stated the portions are big, and the prices are reasonable.

Oh man, that's the best thing I've heard food-wise all week. I'll have to get over there tomorrow and get a pizza.

It's still January ... but this observation is in the
running for Understatement of the Year! <g>

I hope whatever happens, they bring back Pizza Coco!

          Me too, Pizza Coco rocks.
Anyway, I talked with someone close to the situation, and they will be re-opening, the only question is when, and in what form?
