General Greene or Good Fork?

Hi, This is for a dinner for 4 (sat ). 2 really like Good Fork but none of us have tried General Greene. Alternatively is there a new place we should try for very good food?

  1. I had wonderful meal at No. 7 the other night. The menu's similar to the Good Fork, though a little bit more refined. The hangar steak with kimchi perogies was fantastic, as was a surpringly spicy tuna appetizer with jalepeno oil.

    1. I've had a couple meals at General Greene and they've been hit or miss. I'll try it again, but not too fast. Like quizkidd, I really like No. 7. But they don't take reservations for smaller parties (IIRC) and so there will likely be a wait. I've not been to Good Fork but it's been on my to-try list for a while now.

      1. General Greene. I've tried them both. Someday you should consider Buttermilk Channel. Ate there last night. Fantastic!

        1. Between No. 7, General Greene and Good Fork, I like Good Fork the best for the overall dining experience. It's has a more intimate and warmer environment, imo, compared to the other restaurants.

That being said, I have had excellent meals at No. 7, and I think, although the atmosphere is different than Good Fork, it would make for a fun evening for a group of friends.

I am not as enamored w/ General Greene, I enjoyed my one meal there, but I like the other two better.
