Fire in Orange County?

Seeking request of restaurants or coffee shops from Irvine, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach or anywhere in south OC that focus on fire as part of the aesthetic. Big oven as part of the visibile kitchen; hearth outside; etc. If I was in Santa Monica I would just go to Coffee Bean on Wilshire and sit around their big gas fire outside. Anything like that? THANKS.

  1. It's a little bit South but Salt Creek Grille has a gas fire pit. I can't recall exactly what the visibility is from tables, but they do have one on the veranda between the inside and outside seating. They're at the corner of PCH and Crown Valley Parkway at the extreme North end of Dana Point.

    1. Canyon Fireside Grille in Rancho Santa Margarita has a big fireplace inside.

Thank you Midlife and allmodcons, very helpful.

      2. Ok, I *believe* there is an outside firepit at Duke's in Huntington, but I'm not totally sure.

Not sure about Duke's, but down below at 'who knows what it is called now' restaurant, there is a pit there.

Poeticalmath - great username, not sure what your question is exactly; I think you're asking about Canyon Fireside Grille?
Thanks to jaykayen and justagthing for help with Dukes/competitor.

Canyon FG is pretty cozy inside... and, no fire outside, but patio is nice too.

        2. Only thing I can think of is Chronic Cantina in Triangle Square. Dang! Why can't I think of anything else?!?

Found a new one: Bandera in Newport on PCH, outside pit.

          2. Gulfstream in Corona del Mar has an outside dirt patio with two fire pits and adirondack chairs.
