Restaurants from Byron Bay to Sydney

We are visiting Byron Bay for a wedding in early march and lan on heading down the coast to Sydney over 10 days or so. Looking for recommendations in Byron itself for evening meals and also if there are any standout places on the coastline heading down to sydney - Really looking for sampling super fresh seafood in nice surrounds, happy with both chilled out relaxed spots and more formal places for both lunches and dinner so any recommendations for this stretch would be much appreciated.

I'll also be looking fo stuff in Sydney - but judging by the boards that's a whole new topic!

Byron Bay - Pacific Dining Room & Dish are only open for dinner but definitely very good. Nothing in Byron is formal! If you're prepared to do the 45min drive, fins at Kingscliff is also very good and as the name would suggest, focused on seafood. I believe they are open for lunch as well as dinner.

Avoid Fisheads in Byron and Bangalow - it's overrated and the people that work there need to remove their heads from the orifice at the other end!

In Byron also... Nice relaxed pizza at the northern hotel, the Bangalow hotel has a nice little bistro (not top food but nice) and Satiate in Bangalow does a 5 course degustation for $65 which is great fresh produce and good value if you want something formal.
