Boca/Boynton-Superbowl, great food, not a sports pub

Looking for a place to watch the game, have a quality cocktail and a good meal where the TV will be on with the sound and still festive. Does such a place exist?

    Someone's house perhaps? :-)

This is a tall order... you seem to be looking for a nice restaurant that's also going to have a big tv or multiple tv's set up just for the game. Not sure if such a place exists... generally, you are either a nice restaurant without a tv or lots of tv's ... or a sports bar.

You might want to check out Duffy's Sports GRILL (note, not PUB) on Linton and A1A. It is family friendly, has incredible tv's WITH sound, good service, plenty o' cocktails, decent sports-grill type food (really good ribs), and is VERY "festive" when it is crowded, which is often.

Yeah, all Duffy's are the best for those requirements.

I suggest eating at Snapper's on Congress Ave. in Boynton, then driving to Duffy's for drinks/tvs/festive atmosphere. Duffy's food is fine, but very casual: wings, burgers, etc.

It's not just burgers and wings as they have ribs, steak, tuna, mahi mahi, shrimp, scallops, etc...blacknened mahi mahi sandwich beats their burgers.

DUFFYS!!?? this is the reason why SOLFLA will never have a good culinary scene. We have supposed "foodies" recommending a chain place for quality food!!?? LMFAO! Duffys has bad food people! I know alot of people like the place but the one time i was there my sliders were like bricks.

Why people spend there hard earned money in glorified fast food joints is beyond me. Go out and spend a lil cash in a locally owned place or else we will be awash in Applebees and Papa Johns.

        Someone recomended Duffy's on Chowhound.....UNREAL!

You did not read what the OP was asking for.....Superbowl on TV with sound and still festive. Hello?

Yes, Duffy's is solely to blame for the lack of SoFla culinary options. And you have nothing better to offer the OP?

Try reading the original question: "Looking for a place to watch the game, have a quality cocktail and a good meal where the TV will be on with the sound and still festive."

So where's your brilliant advice "tb"?

And while you're at it, can you let us know where the owners of Duffy's are based - since you seem to be certain that it's not here?

"spend a lil cash in a locally owned place"

Oh I'll save you some time. How about... Palm Beach Gardens.

And finally, if you're such a high-class "foodie"... what are you doing eating sliders?
