Fun, low-key place in the Valley?

I'm going out with 4 friends. I need to find a nice, semi-quiet place in the Valley. Van Nuys/Sheman Oaks/Encino area. I'd like to target a place that has entrees between $11-$20

Thoughts?

Laurel Tavern in Studio City - small well-priced menu, good selections of wines and beer by the glass, casual, fun vibe.

It's not super quiet because it is so small but I like Gio Cucina in Encino next to the Range Rover Dealer on Ventura Blvd.
