Valentine's Day early on Long Island

Looking for a special, but not too fussy (no dress up, not pretentious) spot for a nice Valentine's dinner a week early (Feb 7 -- can't stand to go out on V-Day). Food more important than atmosphere; could be steak, fish, or interesting but not too esoteric ethnic, we're not picky; good and reasonable wine list or BYOB, somewhere between Huntington and Stony Brook or thereabouts. Any ideas?

Kitchen a Bistro in St. James. Great food, reasonable price, BYOB. Plenty of posts on this board about it. Though Saturday night will be crowded and I don't think they take reservations.
