Biscuits and gravy - twin cities

peggy.sue32 Jan 27, 2009 04:21 PM

I went to a my favorite breakfast place on Sunday only to find it was no longer open. :(

So I ended up at Tillie's Bean, coffees always good. I was pleasantly surprised by the food. I had their biscuits and gravy. Wonderful! I love biscuits and gravy which makes me pretty picky. For me that means no mushrooms or anything else weird just good flavorful stick to your ribs biscuits and gravy. Which leads me to ask what are other peoples favorite places for biscuits and gravy and why do you like them there?

On a side note my friend had the "fluffernutter" (sp?) sandwich grilled. It was peanut butter and marshmallow. I'm not a marshmallow fan but my friend said it was good and sticky.

What was your favorite place? The one that closed?

Clicquot Club Cafe on 25th (street?) :( I told the girl behind the counter at Tillie's about it and she said yeah she had heard about them closing and then listed a couple others that had closed recently but I wasn't familiar with them. I still learning my way around Minneapolis and get a bit turned around with the streets and avenues
