Looking where to buy grits retail in Montreal

I just moved back home to Montreal after many years. I can't seem to find a retail source for grits here. I can special order them from Sysco/Circa, but only by the case, and then only quick grits.

Help please!

  1. Have never found good quality southern US-style grits in Montreal. Some places sell them (Akhavan, for example) but I'd be surprised if they could hold a candle to the stuff I bring back from the Carolinas. A friend and I are about to try ordering heirloom grits and cornmeal from Anson Mills -- -- which also has a wholesale storefront for professional chefs. Assuming there are no problems at the border, that might be your best bet. If you didn't want to order them yourself, perhaps you could get a local merchant to do so (you could safely assure him/her that you wouldn't be the only customer).
