Any bars showing the Puppy Bowl on Sunday?

It's January and, to even the most casual football fan, that means only one thing: PUPPIES!! Or not. Whatever.

I am convinced that some bar is showing the Puppy Bowl. My reason is mostly applying the law of large numbers to the countless myriad people who like to drink and watch puppies. The Venn diagram, it is amazing.

So the title is basically the question I was wondering about. I would like to sit at a bar and watch adorable puppies tumble over one another while myself getting very drunk. I imagine that somewhere in this huge, weird city, someone either owns or works at a bar and shares my dream.

Did you mean to post this on the Manhattan board? Is there really such a thing as the "Puppy Bowl"? Are you drunk right now? Inquiring minds need to know...

there is most absolutely a puppy bowl that airs against the other bowl. it is literally 20 puppies running around on a mini-footbal field. i too, would love to know where to partake in beer, puppies and wings this sunday.

Yes, it is very real and a very short, simple search locates these:

Watched it, at home, from 3-5 PM. Loved the show. Half time show was a let down; even my cat loving GF had very little positve to say of it.

I am quite excited for the puppy bowl, the kitten half-time show, and the parrot who will be singing the national anthem. There must be a bar in the city that is showing this - if anyone hears anything please post it here. Thanks!

            Per web site:
"PUPPY BOWL V premieres Sunday, February 1, from 3-5 PM (ET/PT)"
which would place it prior to The Game.
So if one asks real nice (bonus if it is your regular bar), at least one TV could be changed over to watch it one would think.

OMG a kitty half time show, I think I might actually watch this. I may have to make some snacks for my cats now too.

You are not alone in your search:

Man...I thought this thread had been pulled for being a hoax. Clearly I stand corrected...

I still do not understand what you mean by "this huge, weird city". But if you're looking for a quite place to drink beer and watch tv I suggest Paulie's in Closter, NJ, the Appleby's in Northvale, NJ (lots of tvs and individual speakers so you can actually listen to something), and Miracle's in Yorktown Heights (they have like 40 tvs and lots of seating).

                Good luck.

I'm glad I put it on, but now I want a puppy!

Next year you can have a puppy bowl party. Folks can bring their pups, and you can serve stuff with a puppy theme, like mini dogs in a blanket, a ham with a big bone, dog bone cookies. hair of the dog cocktails etc. Might be fun, but you might have a hard time finding friends who will forgo the "other" bowl to attend. You never know...
