The best greek sweets I've ever had were from Poseidon Bakery. Love their bird's nests too.

And I was beaten to the punch, too. The baklava at Zeytuna's is also rather good. One might be surprised to buy top notch baklava at the local market, but considering that the store is Turkish-owned, it makes sense.

Zeytuna is on the corner of John and William Sts. I have mainly relied on them for produce and meat as they are competitively priced and of high quality. They also have a reasonable selection of cheeses (a luxury in the neighborhood). The baklava is the only in-house-made option that stands out in my recollection.

I just had the Baklava at Turkish Kitchen (27th & 3rd) yesterday. It is absolutely phenomenal. So good in fact that the four of us each ordered an extra to take home for dessert later this week.
