Has anyone dined at Chez Daniel? I love French cuisine, and I am looking for a quality dinner. I have never been there, and I am thinking about making reservations for Valentine's weekend (probably not the actual day, I have a feeling they might be booked). I was wondering if I could get some reviews from foodies beforehand...
Thanks!

If you mean Chez Daniel in the Twin Cities, I'm not sure it counts as a "real French" dining destination. It's a hotel restaurant in all senses of the term. But I haven't been there for years, so I'm not an authority. (Neither are others on this board, it seems - a question a few years ago was met with a deafening silence, until I broke it with my opinion of "meh".)

If you are in the Twin Citites, how about Vincent or Meritage or Cafe Barbette instead?

I have been there a few times and I would as Anne suggest try something else. They are not doing well as I get buy one get one free from a few flyers that come in the mail.

It is average food at best.

Thank you for your suggestions. I have been wanting to try Meritage so I think that will be where I plan to go instead. Also, I LOVE Barbette! Steak Frites there is my downfall! :)

If you want good French cuisine, I was just at Vincent last week and it was exceptional. I love the location, love the room, love the food. On top of that, Vincent is a great guy. He was walking around talking to every table, making sure everyone enjoyed their food.

Just a great dining experience overall. Oh, and try the squash soup, it is amazing.
