Noticed that Casbah has a gift cert on restaurant.com We haven't been to this place in years. Is it still considered good?

I think Casbah is awsome place to go, great food and great service. We think it is so good we drive from Atlanta to Greenville to eat there. You must have got the night the chef was off. You cant judge a restaurant on one meal, sometime stuff happens. Give them another chance. I cannot recommend them enough.

I went a few weeks ago on the restaurant.com GC. It was good, not great. We had 6 selections, left full, but not thrilled. (There were 2 of us) Still spent $100 with drinks. Probably wouldn't do it again (and the heat upstairs was consuming. Apparently, they have a hard time regulating the temperature with upstairs being a loft).

For that type of food I have found Steller Wine Bar on Main St to be much better,

I wouldn't consider it good either. On top of that, the service is usually not great.

You will catch me there occassionally for the 11pm happy hour though, solely based on discount drinks and the fact that there is now a smoking ban. =)
