Brooklyn Markets?

I was just wondering if anyone knew of any markets in Brooklyn? You know the kind where you can get produce, fish, meat, spices, bread.. all kinds of ethnic things, there are various vendors etc.
I have lived in cities that have had them in the past and have found them to be a wonderful place to shop. I just visited Seattles Pike Place, and (tourist sections aside) loved the ability to buy salted cod and weird spices all under the one roof.

  1. I think the Farmer's market along Ft. Greene is still happening every sunday until around 2 or 3p? They have produce, artisan breads, cheeses, fish, fruit preserves, etc.

I am interested in this topic because I am looking for a top notch butcher in the area. I know that Green Grape on Fulton by the G has some interesting meat and cheese selections, though some items seem overpriced there. But that's not what you're looking for.
