Papas and Beer is opening a new location where Lonestar Steakhouse was on Tunnel Rd.

You all know that the original Papas and Beer is in Hendersonville. It's on 25 across the street from Ingles. Just wanted to make sure that everyone knew that it was the first, then the Brevard Road, and now Tunnel Rd.

on a related tangent, the brevard road store will begin serving margaritas within the next week or so. i'm told the sour mix is a special recipe, but haven't sampled it yet.

They just put the sign up but haven't started remodeling. It's been empty for a while, so they will have to do some remodel I'm sure. But I would say by early summer or late spring. But who knows, they could come in one weekend and get it all done and open the next week.

I was driving by on my way to lunch today (at Papa's and Beer, btw) and there were some pickup trucks parked in the lot and as I went by the Fire Marshall's truck pulled in. I expect they're all still in the planning stage.

When I arrived at Papa's on Brevard Road I asked the owner when they were going to open and he said that it was going to be run by the Hendersonville owners (his brother-in-law) and that they would continue on Brevard Road. I wasn't aware that they were different entities. I sure hope it's as good as the Brevard Road location. I only ate at the Hendersonville location a few times and not since the local one has opened.

I was driving by there today at lunchtime and they're open now. Coincidentally, I had just eaten lunch at the location on Brevard Road. = )

Great news! I kept checking to see if it was open yet. Thanks for letting us know. I'll be headed there this week for sure.

We ate lunch there on Sunday, and while it was pretty good, I still lean toward the Brevard Road location. We will continue to try it out, though, since it is so much closer for us. I'm hoping that what was lacking will improve with a little time. Don't get me wrong, the food was very good, but there was just something missing that I can't quite put my finger on. I guess I'm just so used to the food at the other location, since we eat there at least once a week. All in all, though, worth the trip.

We had lunch there today -- it was mobbed and I think just haven't quite got it all together yet. Too busy for a place that's just been open a few days. I hope within a couple of weeks it will settle in and be as good as the Brevard Road location.

OMG! That's the best news so far this year. Thanks for the news.
