Where to eat in Prairie du Chien, WI, Marquette, IA or Minona, IA?

Hi Midwestern CHs,

In about three weeks, we'll be going up to stay in cabins near Minona/Marquette IA, just over the river from Prairie du Chien, WI. Any food suggestions for us? We'll be eating out a few times, but probably will just buy food and cook it for most of our meals. Thanks in advance!

10 miles north of Monona is The Old Rossville Store. Nothing fancy they have some good specials and it's cheap. Close to Rossville is a road with Amish and one of the women sells eggs off the farm if your interested. Outside of Waukon is another Amish community with one of the families making great candy.

In Monona there is Pizza, Subway and a deli counter. The market is ok, produce is a little slim this time of year.

In the town of Gunder is a great place. It's an Irish pub restaurant with solid food. Again very good value. Decent salad bar on weekends. http://www.thegunderburger.com/

In McGregor there is a brew pub "Old Man River" http://oldmanriverbrewery.com/

In Postville there is a good Mexican place Sabor Latino, they are hurting these days because of the meat plant closing, so they would appreciate the business.

I second the gunder burger and Sabor Latino and anywhere you drive up there is a pretty drive.
