Dim Sum East Bay?

Hi fellow hounds,

Not to beat a dead horse, but I recently moved to the East Bay (Lamorinda) and was looking to find some good dim sum recs. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

THANKS!

in dublin in ulferts center is koi garden for class 'a' dim sum, take ur time and be choosy, dont take everything as it comes out...beware of high pressure from the servers..we have been 4x and still havent tried everything.
tins is class 'b' in wcreeek..ok but no finesse, thick skins ,unsilky shrimp fillings.

On that side of the tunnel only? Probably Tin's.

Oakland: Legendary Palace, Peony, East Ocean (Alameda), Joy Luck

        Richmond: Asia Pearl

Which of the Oakland spots do you like best, kc72? I go to Oakland Chinatown all the time but, amazingly, haven't been for dim sum yet.

I actually go to all 3 in Chinatown. Peony and LP have much nicer dining areas than Joy Luck, but that's not an issue for me. Joy Luck is probably cheaper also.

If you have a car, I actually like heading to East Ocean b/c it's less hectic, free parking and good food.
