Diet Ginger Beer?

Anyone know where I can find some near Cambridge? Craving a Dark and Stormy without the calories... :)

  1. Sorry, you're out of luck. Olde Time used to make one, but they're gone. Your best bet is Polar diet ginger ale. It's the spiciest around.

This is the best I can find for you, and it isn't cheap:

I think I'll order some for myself.

Stop and Shop in somerville carries the regular Regatta... would talking to the manger possibly get me the diet?

Depends on how the supply chain works with that vendor. Never hurts to ask.

    2. Barritt's and DG both make it. Haven't seen it locally though. There are numerous Web sites you can order from.

It's not very close to Boston but I use to get it at a year round farmstand about 2 miles off rte 9 in Southborough. Take the MA pike to the Framingham/Southborough exit. Follow the road to Southborough(not rt 9) about 2 miles. It was Capasso Farms but just now when I was looking for the exact address for you, I read that it was taken over by someone else and is now called The Country Gourmet. It is srill surrounded by the farm. The address is 118 Framingham Rd in Southboriugh. You might want to give them a call. 508-485-1680. Good luck!

I have a feeling Reed's probably makes one.

I just returned from the Fancy Food Show in SF where I spoke with the owner of Reed's. I was certain that they, did at one point, make a diet. I remember drinking it in college. He, however, was quite certain that they never made one. They do make a diet Virgil's root beer and cola, but no ginger. @ac106: if you get S&S to carry it, let me know - I'm in. I have also added ginger juice (The Ginger People) to polar diet ginger ale for a good substitute.
